Every year in April, Fashion Revolution Month is celebrated internationally, commemorating the victims of Rana Plaza in 2013 on April 24.
But the pandemic and its aftermath brings casualties. More than two million people in traditional production countries such as Bangladesh, China and India have not received their wages in recent months, and more than 10,000 have lost their jobs altogether. This affects women in particular, who are often the sole providers for their families.
That's why, alongside brands like Versace, Gabriela Hearst, Chloé, Nordstrom and Theory, we have partnered with Fashion Makes Chance and are an official brand partner. Fashion Makes Change is an international industry-wide initiative that combines women's empowerment and climate action. The initiative has created an ecosystem of collaboration between brands, consumers and industry stakeholders to drive positive change. We donate a portion of the value per sale to the initiative's education and outreach projects.
